Ruth Johnson, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 21, 2017, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Ruth was born December 22, 1927, in Logan, Utah, to James Nyman and Sara Miller Nyman. She grew up and attended schools in Logan. On June 30, 1944, she married Glen Johnson in the Logan LDS Temple. To this union were born five children: Boyd, Kay, Rod, Dick, and Glenda. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1950, where Ruth worked and retired from G.P.O.D. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, tying flies, camping, and crocheting. Ruth is survived by son, Boyd Johnson of Shelley, ID; son, Kay (Judy) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Dick (Tracey) Johnson of Shelley, ID; daughter, Glenda (Sam) Edwards of Idaho Falls, ID Brother, Lloyd (Beth) Nyman of Logan,UT 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Rod Johnson, sisters, Mardean Johnson and Bonnie Breazale, and brothers, Harvey Nyman, and Dwayne Nyman. A memorial gathering will be held at 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls.
