Click Here To View Memorial Video Ruth Violet Gullixson Howard, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away on October 29, 2013, at The Gables of Ammon. She was born on November 18, 1922, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Charles Gullixson and Laura Fathergill Gullixson. She attended East Side Elementary, O. E. Bell Junior High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. In September of 1941, she married Dewey R. Bingham in Idaho Falls. To that union was born 5 children. They were later divorced. She married Walter Leo Howard in Idaho Falls on August 3, 1963. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker and also worked as a Judicial Secretary for the State of Oregon Judicial Department Ruth was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, square dancing, and traveling & sightseeing. Survivors are: Husband: Walter “Leo” Howard, Idaho Falls, ID Son: David Lee Bingham, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Donald Kent (Janet) Bingham, Seattle, WA Son: Larry Duane (Jan) Bingham, Sandy, UT Son: Darold R. (Sheryl) Bingham, Blackfoot, ID Daughter: Kathryn A. (Jim) Larpentear, Portland, OR Daughter: Ann M. (Dave) Latta, Mesa, AZ Son: Wayne T. (Carolyn) Howard, Idaho Falls, ID Son: John D. (Saralee) Howard, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Paul J. Howard, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Kathryn Shirley Gullixson, Albany, OR 27 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Laurence “Bud” Gullixson; and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Bingham. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church (237 N. Water) with Reverend Brenda Sene officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Attn: Donor Services, 6126 W. State St., Suite 305, Boise, ID 83703.
