Ruth Hendricks

Ruth LaVetta Hendricks, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 24, 2011, at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 27, 1934, in Ashton, Idaho to Levi Stone and Grace Metsker Stone. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from North Fremont High School. On February 7, 1957, she married Carl V. Hendricks at the Lyman Church in Thornton. She worked at Helms Bakery and Albertsons Bakery until their third child was born and then was a full-time mother and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ruth enjoyed baking, crafts and eating pizza with a Cherry Coke. She especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors are: Son: Brian Hendricks, Ammon Son: Dennis Hendricks, Ammon Son: Doug Hendricks, Ammon Son: Carwin (Laddie) Hendricks, Ammon Son: Darwin (Jeannette) Hendricks, Ammon Brother: Lynn Stone Sister: Lola Atwood Sister: Lela Wanlass Sister: Letha Tucker Sister: Lula Heath Sister: Katie Ostler Grandchildren: Gracie, LaShae, Kyle, Shantel, Drake, Luke, and Jake Great Grandchild: Mkira She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Leonard Stone. Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
