RUTH BUTLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ruth Ann Butler, 94, of Idaho Falls, died May 15, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 14, 1914, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to John Sparks and Mattie Grindstaf Sparks. She grew up and attended schools in Spruce Pine.
On October 18, 1987, she married Rodrick Ora Butler in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death December 6, 1997. She was a mother and homemaker and also managed the Cavalier Apartments on First Street for 47 years.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Ruth loved her flowers and adored her little dog, Angel.

Son: Harry Lee (Mary) McKinney, El Cajon, CA
Daughter: Marieta Ann Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Billie Ray McKinney, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Avery Junior “J.R.” McKinney, Idaho Falls, ID
25 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Perry McKinney and Williams Charles McKinney; and one daughter, Marilyn McKinney Pack; four brothers; and five sisters.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at Fielding Memorial Park with Pastor Jerry Reinke of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, prior to the services at the cemetery.
