Ruth Ellen Anderson, 95, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 1, 2012, in Gig Harbor, Washington. She was born on June 2, 1917, in Dunlap, Iowa, to Frank Fisher and Anna Haines Fisher. In April of 1939, she married Glenn Anderson. Ruth was a beautician for many years in Idaho Falls. In her later years she became a prolific quilter and donated many to her favorite charity. She was also very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught Sunday School for many years. Survivors are: Daughter: Karen (Fred) Rossiter of Olalla, WA Son: Larry Anderson of Kirkland, WA Sister: Rose Dow of Yelm, WA 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; a grandson, Wade Hoffman; four brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012, at New Sweden Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, prior to leaving for the cemetery.
