Russell "Russ" Ricks

Russell Allen Ricks, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 28, 2012, at his home. He was born March 5, 1971, in Idaho Falls, Idaho the fourth son of Keith V. Ricks and Hildegard Bertalott Ricks. Russ attended elementary school at Lincoln Elementary, junior high at Bonneville and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. . Russ was a hard worker and spent 20 years at Idaho Laboratory. He enjoyed work and was very handy with his hands and tools. He also worked construction and worked at Potters Painting. Russ loved the outdoors, he loved to hunt, camp and fish. He enjoyed being in the mountains and hanging out with his family or friends. Anytime he could be outdoors whether it be riding a motorcycle, snowmobile or even a raft on the river, it didn’t matter just so he could be in nature. His health had declined in the last couple years, but he still tried to get out and enjoy himself. Russ was a great brother, son and friend. He would do whatever he could to help out anyone in need. He could always be counted on to pitch in and help where he could. Russ will be greatly missed. Survivors are: Mother: Hildegard Ricks, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Dan Ricks, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: John Ricks, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Rod (LeNea) Ricks, Idaho Falls, ID 1 nephew and 4 nieces Beloved dog: Chewie He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
