Russell Lange

Russell Stuart Lange, 83, of Ammon, passed away September 28, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1929, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Charles William Lange and Ellen E. Lange. He grew up and attended schools there graduating from Robert Morris College. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Russell married Elizabeth Jane Dean on September 10, 1955, in Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania. Russell and Elizabeth raised two children, Russell Dale and Cindy Jane. He lived in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, until 1964, Simi Valley, California, from 1964 until 1995, Bakersfield California, 1995 to 2004, and finally in Ammon, Idaho, from 2004 until the time of his death. Russell worked in banking and estates. He was a tax consultant, trust officer, and Vice President of Trust Services of America. Russell had an amazing love for God and his family. He served as the Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and Chairman of the Deaconate Board. Russell was a Mason and President of the W.P.A.B.A. Service Club. His greatest love was being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed good music and trains. He is survived by: His wife, Elizabeth Lange of Ammon, ID; Son, Russell Dale (Karen) Lange of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Daughter, Cindy Jane (Michael) Miller of Ammon, ID; Brother, Roy C. Lange of Bella Vista, AR; Sister, Elaine Trautman of Valrico, FL; Seven Grandchildren, Justin Miller, Jared Miller, Brittany Giorgio, Kelli Miller, Caitlin Miller, Brandon (Danielle) Lange, and Karilyn (Levi) Wilk; Five great grandchildren, Cooper Lange, Hunter Lange, Shelby Wilk, Landon Wilk and Cameron McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William C. Lange. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Pastor Dan Smouse officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to the services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
