Russell Allen

Russell James Allen, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 18, 2013, at his home. He was born on February 15, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Buddy Gene Allen and Emma Ella Young Allen. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Russell worked as a painter, in shipping, as a mechanic, truck dispatcher, heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He enjoyed auto restoration, furniture restoration, woodworking, fishing, and camping. Survivors are: Daughter: Lani Marie Jensen, Idaho Falls, Idaho Grandson: Brayden Price Spencer Brother: Kenneth Jay Allen Brother: Ted Michael Allen Brother: Jay Harrison Allen Sister: Wanda Jean Allen Sister: Dixie Lee (Lanny R.) Dick 4 nieces and 3 nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles Phillip Allen. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
