Rulon Hayes

Rulon Arthur Hayes, Sr., 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 22, 2011 at his home. He was born July 12, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Arthur Harry Hayes and Eunice Jane Field Hayes. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Rulon served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. While serving, he was stationed in Germany for two years and earned the rank of Buck Sargent Technician. He married Toni Ames and together they had two children. They were later divorced. On April 28, 1985 he married Velma Jean Boyle in Clovis, New Mexico . Rulon worked at Ellsworth Dodge in parts delivery and as a janitor. Survivors include: Wife, Velma Boyle, Idaho Falls, ID Son, Rulon Arthur Hayes, Jr. of Boise, ID; Daughter, Eva (Daniel)Marie Hout of Idaho Falls, ID; Step-son, William R. Stejskal of Idaho Falls, ID; Step daughter, Pamela Ann (Greg) Pressley of TX; Step-son Ben C. Harvey of Boise, ID; Sister, Melva (Joe) McMinn of San Antonio, TX; 16 Grandchildren Rulon was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Farrel Hayes, and his Hayes grandparents, who raised him. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
