Rula Knight - 11/12/2001 Rula Knight - 11/12/2001 RULA KNIGHT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Rula Knight, 73, of Idaho Falls, died November 10, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born July 14, 1928, at Driggs, to George Franklin Knight and Lucile Little Knight. She grew up in Driggs and attended Driggs Elementary School and Teton High School. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1950, then obtained her Master's of Education Degree from Brigham Young University in 1966. She has lived in Idaho Falls for 49 years. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 35 years, first at Grant School in Ogden, Utah, then at East Side, Linden Park, and Theresa Bunker Schools in Idaho Falls. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in her youth she served a full-time mission to the Eastern States. She also served as a Sunday School Teacher, as Drama and Speech Director, on the Stake Sunday School Board, as Relief Society Teacher and visiting teacher, and as a temple worker. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Delta Kappa Gamma (the international teachers honorary society), the Business and Professional Women's Club, the National Education Association, and was given the honor of life member of PTA by Theresa Bunker School. Included in her travels were trips to Egypt, the Holy Land, Hawaii, Europe, and various places in the United States. She loved reading and visiting with her brothers, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward, 885 South Boulevard, with Bishop Phillip Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery, east of Tetonia, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
