RUFUS D. TRAUGHBER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Rufus Daniel Traughber, 85, of Idaho Falls, died at Turtle and Crane Nursing Home, October 4, 2005.
He was born April 8, 1920, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rufus Daniel Traughber and Nellie Frances Hillman Traughber . He grew up in the Swan Valley area and attended schools there.
He married Georgena Weeks January 19, 1938, in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. He married Marjory Thiebaud Strecker August 31, 1957, in Salmon, Idaho.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He worked for his parents at the Swan Valley Commissary and farmed in the area. He then moved to Idaho Falls and worked as an iron worker.
During his younger years he loved to break and train horses. He played catcher in baseball. He loved spending time with his wife, Marjory, and his family, and in his later years, collecting antiques, gardening, traveling and watching rodeo on TV.

9 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, 11 Step Grandchildren and 13 Step grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and two granddaughters.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm. Saturday, October 8, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Mark Richardson of the Idaho Falls 16th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends at Wood Funeral Home for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
