Ruby Allen Grace, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 20, 2022, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Alliance Home Health & Hospice.
Ruby was born October 28, 1934, in San Francisco, California, to John Williams Moseley and Eldora Rae Peters Moseley. Her mother and step-father, Thomas Fitzgerald Whaley, were in the Military when she was younger. They lived in the Philippines and she attended many schools, graduating high school in Japan.
On June 20, 1953, she married Donald Orin Shannon in Cloverdale, California. They had three children. They also served in the Army and moved around the world including Paris, France.
On September 18, 1965, she married Jack O. Fayter in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They had one daughter together.
Ruby had a deep love for dogs. She enjoyed attending craft fairs and making crafts with her daughters, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. She also enjoyed spending time with family.
Ruby is survived by her brother, John Moseley (Hank) of Brunswick, GA; her four children: daughter, Kitty Smith (Kevin) of Idaho Falls, ID; Michael Shannon (Terri) of Aztec, NM; Pat Shannon of Aztec, NM; and Karen Branch (Harold) of Auburn, WA; 8 grandchildren: Phillip Smith (Emily), Lindsay Stauffer (Brad), Michael Shannon (Starla), Sarah Tuite (Matt), Crystal Shannon, Jonathan Davis (Adrianna), Jeremy Wiseman, Desirye White; and 13 great grandchildren: Ashton, Colby, Skye, Micah, Chase, Hunter, Easton, Colton, Shaylin, Jakob, Chandler, Grayson, and Cassie.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Moseley; mother and step-father, Eldora and Thomas Whaley.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
