RUBY S. GARDNER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ruby S. Gardner, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 20, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of causes incident to age.
She was born November 26, 1916, in Ucon, Idaho, to Thomas Simmons and Florence Peterson Simmons. She grew up in Ucon and attended schools in the area.
She married Raymond Gardner December 26, 1934, in Idaho Falls. He died March 31, 1976. They made their home in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked at Roger Brothers Seed Company until her retirement.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Ruby especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was the last survivor of the Raymond Gardner family brothers and sisters.

Son: Keith (Nelda) Gardner, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Jeannene (Dave) Johnson, Salt Lake City, UT
Sister: Leora Scouten, Salmon, ID
19 Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, a son, Gary Gardner, a daughter, LaRae Hathaway, a sister, Verda Murray, and a brother, Grant Simmons.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Darren Gardner officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

We are so sorry about the loss of Aunt Ruby. We all have fond memories of her growing up, over at Grandma Abbie's house. I live there now and think about those times all the time. My heart is with the whole family . . . . .
