Ruby Bowker

Ruby Estelle Powers Bowker, 56, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 22, 2011 peacefully at her home. Ruby was born December 15, 1954, in Evanston, Wyoming, to William Edward Powers and Anna Louise Christensen Powers. She attended Lyman High School and obtained a Master’s Degree from Weber State College. She taught high school and college English for 30 years. Ruby was currently living in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She had recently resided in Mountain View, Wyoming and Evanston, Wyoming. Ruby loved traveling, reading, camping, and spending time with loved ones. She always considered herself very blessed. Survivors include: Ex-husband: Steve Bowker of Big Piney, WY Son: Will (Trisa) Sing of Mountain View, WY Grandsons: Rueben (5), Keaton (3), Leland (14 months) Brother: Dennis (Cyndi) Powers of Urie, WY Sister: Linda (Jerry) Pasin of Findlay, OH Sister: Carolyn Engstrom of Rock Springs, WY Sister: Sally (Tim) Beagley of Salt Lake City, UT and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Powers; a brother, James Powers; and two nephews, Carl Engstrom and William R. Powers. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at the LDS church building at 3815 Hwy 414 in Urie, Wyoming. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
