ROY A. McNEELY
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Roy A. McNeely, 65, of Shelley, Idaho,
died February 5, 2004, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, following
a short illness.
He was born in Rupert, Idaho, July 28, 1938, to James
and Izora Merrit McNeely. After graduating from Minidoka High school,
he joined the Navy. For 20 years he proudly served his country both at
home and abroad.
He married Leslie Anne Gillett April 16, 1966, in Vancouver,
B.C. After leaving the Navy, they settled in Washington. He worked for
the Dow Jones Wall Street Journal in Seattle for 20 years.
Upon retiring, they moved to Shelley to be near family.
He loved trailing cattle to Rawlins Creek and working
with cows and calves with his brother Terry. He also loved spending time
with his many nieces and nephews.

Sister: Ellen (Vern) Green, Burley, ID
Sister-In-Law: Pauline McNeely, Ogden, UT
Granddaughter: Kayli McNiven
5 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.
Cremation is under the direction of Wood Funeral Home
in Idaho Falls. No services are planned. A memorial will be scheduled
at a later date.
The family will receive close friends and relatives at
the home of Terry McNeely, 560 East 100 North, Firth, Idaho, Saturday,
February 7, 2004, from 4-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to
the American Cancer Society.
