Roy Lee Cole, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 16, 2025, at Gateway Transitional Care Center, in Pocatello.
He was born July 3, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry and Naomi Cole. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. He also attended Emerson Elementary.
On June 25, 1983, he married Ruth Anne Heath in Nez Perce. Roy and Ruth made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Roy worked as a draftsman until 1996. He then worked for Yellowstone Log Homes and retired from plastic injections as the Mill Foreman for Yellowstone Log Homes.
He joined the Army and served as a Specialist 4th class in the engineers for T.A.C.S in Anchorage Alaska at the Headquarters Company. He was in active duty from 1973 to 1976 and inactive duty from 1976 to 1979.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Roy enjoyed scouting and antique cars. Roy worked in his father's auto body shop before and after he returned from the military.
Roy is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne Cole; sons, William and David; daughter, Angelique; and 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and grandmother; Neva Mortenson.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist, 237 N Water Avenue. The family will meet with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Trinity United Methodist Church.
