Ross K. Hathaway, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 12, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1938, in Twin Groves, Idaho, to Clifford William Hathaway and Mary Adelia May Hathaway. He grew up and attended schools in Chester, St. Anthony, Idaho Falls, and Aberdeen. He attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah for one year. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In 1957, he married Juanita June Rainey in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. On December 23, 1970 , he married Judy Hathaway in Elko, Nevada. Ross and Judy made their home in Idaho Falls, where Ross worked as a laborer on various farms.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and backyard mechanics.
Ross is survived by wife, Judy Hathaway of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Ross Cordell Hathaway; son, Shane Wade Hathaway; son, Tony Scott Hathaway; son, Thomas William (Isabelle) Blackstone of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lesa June Hathaway; stepdaughter, Wendy Elaine (William) Mitchell of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Shamron Earl (Mary Ellen) Hathaway of Pineville, IA; son, Timothy Kay (Sharon) Hathaway of Idaho Falls, ID; stepsister, Joannah Torp Barker of Idaho Falls, ID; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earnest Earl Hathaway; a sister, Mildred Della Hathaway; and a stepbrother, Carl Everett Torp, II.
Private family burial will be held at a later date in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed at the cemetery by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard. For further information, the family may be contacted.
