ROSEWEL NORRIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Rosewel Norris, 74, of Idaho Falls, died September 15, 2005, at his home of cancer. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born February 2, 1931, at Logan, Utah, the son of Thomas Barnard Norris and Hortense Obray Norris. He grew up in Paradise and attended Elementary School in Paradise, graduating from South Cache High School in 1949. He married his high school sweetheart, Maureen Boswell Maughan September 21, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple. He was inducted August 7, 1951, into the United States Army and served in the Korean War then was transferred to the Army Reserve July 8, 1953. He worked for AT&T in Provo, Utah, before moving to Pocatello. They moved to Idaho Falls where he owned his own business before retiring. His greatest joy in this life was his family and he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by Son, Quinn Rosewel (Lorraine) Norris, Idaho Falls; Son, Ken M. (Judy) Norris, Idaho Falls; Brother, Fletcher Derwood (Coye) Norris, Provo, UT; Sister, Jeanette (Rex) Hirst, Paradise, UT; Sister, Roberta (Gary) Bowen, Paradise, UT; one very special granddaughter, Rebecca Ann (Kerry) Thomas, Ririe, ID; 3 great grandchildren, Gage R. W. Thomas, Lacie Donna Lila Thomas and Colter Norris Thomas; one grandson, Matt, and granddaughters, Chelsea and Jaasmine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Boswell Maughan Norris; his father, Thomas, his mother, Hortense, three brothers, Thomas Darrell, Keith Ezra and RoyDel Norris, and one sister, Moselle Smith. The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at the Paradise, Utah, LDS 2nd Ward, 9060 South 200 West, with Bishop Tim Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, Utah.
