Rosemary Humphrey

Rosemary Catherine Kehoe Humphrey passed away August 25, 2015, in Riverton, Utah, surrounded by her family. She passed away in the comfort of her own home, just like she wanted. In her own words, she "lived until she died." She was 91 years young. Rosemary was born January 17, 1924, in Vancouver, Washington, to Edward Jefferson Kehoe and Dora Alice Speas Kehoe. On September 9, 1944, she married A. L. "Al" Humphrey in Los Angeles, California. She spent her life dedicated to her family and was a homemaker until her girls were raised. She was happy to get a job at West Side Elementary School in the kitchen, where she made many friends. After retiring from West Side, she was a foster grandmother at Temple View Elementary. She loved her neighbors in "the circle” where she and Al lived on the west side of Idaho Falls. She had the opportunity to go on many trips – Jamaica being her favorite. In 2006, she moved to Riverton, Utah, to be close to her girls. She had many family parties and enjoyed her grandkids. She had breakfast club at McDonald’s with her dear friends, Ilene, Karen, and Mitzi. She loved going to Wendover, playing blackjack, shopping, and being with family. She loved her independence and was able to drive until just a few months ago. Her sweetheart, Al, passed away October 20, 2008, and she missed her "daddy" so much. We will miss her lively, spunky personality. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Al, and her daughter, Merri Ann. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Kent) Montague, Cathy (Ray) Mockli, Cindy (Dan) Brettler, Alissa (Brad) Christensen, and her sixth daughter, Arlene “ArB” (Curtis) Looslie. She has 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Randall B. Wheeler of the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
