Rose Simpson

Rose Marie Simpson, 48, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 22, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Rose was born September 12, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jay Marvin Simpson and Marion LaVonna Miller Simpson. She was the third of six children. She was raised and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She married Ollie A. Shields in 1986. They divorced in 1992. Rose is survived by Ollie A. Shields of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sons, Raymond Albert Shields and Johnny Ray Shields, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Velma May (Zane)Newman of Caldwell, Idaho, and Darlene Kay (Peter) Davis of Salt Lake city, Utah; one brother, Lyle Daniel Simpson of Idaho Falls; two step-sons, J. R. Shields and Chris Shields, both of Portland, Oregon; two step-daughters, Dena McGee of Montana, and Bettie Allen of Washington state; three nieces, four nephews, three great-nieces and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one niece; one nephew; an aunt; an uncle; two sisters; and her step-father, Carl Jensen. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011, at Fielding Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, prior to departing to the cemetery.
