Rose "Tia" Powers

Roseanne Garcia Powers, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 29, 2021, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Rose was born November 29, 1957, in Billings, Montana, to Santiago Garcia and Lupe Maciel Garcia.  She grew up in Montana, and lived in New York and California. She returned to Idaho to take care of her mother until she passed away.

In 1971, Rose married Ernest Rodriguez. They had two sons, Mario and Emilio. Rose married Gary Goodrich, and had a daughter, Jessica, and a son, Lucas. Rose later met the love of her life,Brian Powers  and had a family of pets. They traveled and made memories together for 30 plus years before his passing. Rose and Brian made their home in New York.

Rose cherished any time spent with her family. She enjoyed attending and planning barbeques. She loved thrift store shopping, playing mobile games and listening to rock music. She found great joy in decorating for the all of the holidays. Her animals were her life! Her family always called her “Tia”.

Rose is survived by her son, Mario Rodriguez; daughter, Jessica Havener; three sisters; three brothers; and two grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Brian, parents Santiago and Guadalupe, two sons, Emilio and Lucas, and one sister, Victoria Garcia.
