ROBERTS, ID -- Ronnie Dale Westerfield Smith, 58, of Roberts, passed away September 6, 2010 at his home of Lung Cancer. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.
Ronnie was born August 12, 1952 in Livingston, Montana, to Owen H. Westerfield and Bertha Irene Jonas Westerfield. After his parents divorced, he assumed the name of his stepfather, Henry Smith. Ronnie graduated from Riverton High School in Riverton, Wyoming. He served in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam War.
He married Sharon Kay Lords on June 10, 1977 in Roberts, Idaho. They resided in Roberts for three years, Spanish Fork, Utah for 17 years, and Wamsutter, Wyoming for seven years. He worked as a welder, truck driver, and in the oil fields.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cars, and models, but his greatest joy was his daugher.

Brother: Dave Westerfield, Salem, OR
Sister: Sharon Wright, Bowling Green, OH
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Kenneth Lords; sister-in-law, Elva Brower; brother-in-law, Keith Lords; and nephew, Skip Lords.
