Ronald Marion “Ronney” Taber, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 25, 2014, at his sister's home.
Ronney was born August 20, 1942, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Marion Kirk Taber and Mildred Louise Honsinger Taber. He grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma. He also attended heavy equipment schools. He served as a Private in the U. S. Army.
On June 1, 1961, he married Mary Joyce Gilday in Tijuana, Mexico. To this union were born eight children, Roy, Ronald, Sally, Gilbert, Ronda, Ronnette, and Rowdy Jay. Ronney lived in Idaho Falls, Milton Freewater, Oregon, Los Angeles, California, Walla Walla, Washington, and Grangeville, Idaho, as well as short periods in other places. He worked as a chef, masonry, mechanic, and heavy equipment operator for various companies. Mary passed away July 15, 2013.
Ronney wanted to be a mountain man and live off the land and have all his family with him. He loved traveling, exploring the country, visiting his kids and grandkids, cooking, camping, and riding motorcycles and horses.

daughter, Ronnette (Kenneth) Fritts of Hillsboro, OR,
son, Rowdy Jay Taber of WY,
sister, Janice (Cliff Johnson) Jenks of Idaho Falls, ID,
brother, Allen Gordon Taber of Terrington, WY.
31 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Louise, a brother, Jay, and a sister, Paulette.
