Ronald Dale Speirs

Ronald Dale Speirs, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 9, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of Brio Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Ron was born June 7, 1942, in Hawthorne, Nevada, to Forrest Dale Speirs and Loine Kinney Speirs. He grew up and attended schools in Twin Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Twin Falls High School. After high school, Ron joined the United States Navy. He earned the ranking of Petty Officer 2nd Class and served during the Vietnam War.

On October 28, 1995, he married Dorine Vasquez in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ronald and Dorine made their home in Idaho Falls where Ron worked as a Nuclear Fuel Handler at Idaho National Laboratory. He worked there for 38 years and had a very fulfilling career.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ron enjoyed twirling and racquetball.

Ron is survived by his wife, Dorine Speirs, and his eleven children of Idaho Falls, ID; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Navy Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Wounded Warriors Project or the local VA Chapter.
