Biography

Ronald Dee Morgan, 70, lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, passed away April 7, 2011 at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Ron was born May 4, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Earl Morgan and Emma LaVell Rasmussen Morgan. He attended Riverside Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High, and Eagle Rock before it became Idaho Falls. Ron married Janice Larie Nelson in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. He married Glenda “Marie” Garner on November 6, 1983 in Blackfoot. They were later divorced. Ron owned and operated an an electronics shop and later worked in various positions, which included: building maintenance supervisor, truck driver and school district janitor. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, four-wheeling, woodworking, cooking, electronics and computers. Survivors include: Former spouse: Marie Card of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Rhonda Leigh (Todd) Hicks of Ammon, ID Son: Ronald Brett (Dawn) Morgan of Boise, ID Daughter: Sherri Dee (Eric) Archer of Bothell, WA Son: Earl Lavar (Liesha) Morgan of Pullman, ID 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents Earl Morgan and LaVell Rasmussen Morgan; and two sisters, Pauline Dayley and Gaye Gaffney. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
