Ronald J Mitchell, 77, of Ammon, passed away July 16, 2026, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia due to complications from Parkinsons.
Ron was born August 16, 1948, in Shelley, Idaho, to Roland J Mitchell and Hellen Waters Mitchell. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1966. He started in the auto body repair trade right after graduating from high school.
On March 26, 1969, he married Darlene Leavitt in Idaho Falls. Ron and Darlene made their home in Ammon, Idaho. Ron owned Capital Body Shop doing auto body repair and painting.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going camping, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed golfing with his many golfing buddies.
Ron was deeply loved and respected by his family, friends, and those who knew him best. Ron will be forever loved and missed.
Ron is survived by his wife, Darlene Mitchell of Ammon, ID; son, Corey Mitchell of Menan, ID; son, Tracey (Tiffany) Mitchell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Randy Mitchell of Emmett, ID; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Reuben and Emma Waters and Roland and Thelma Mitchell.
Services will be held at a later date.
