CLAIR KILLIAN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ronald Clair Killian, 64, of Idaho Falls, died January 24, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from complications of leukemia. He was born June 16, 1942, in Rigby, Idaho, to Delbert Henry Killian and Mary Campbell Killian. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. He continued his education at Ricks College in Rexburg. He served a full-time LDS mission to the Central States prior to serving in the U. S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He played baseball and semi-pro basketball for the Air Force team as well as church and city baseball. On December 11, 1964, he married Bonnie Kay Stanger in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as a materials handler, heavy equipment operator, and crane operator/rigger at Argonne National Laboratories. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was currently serving as counselor in the 24th Ward Bishopric. He enjoyed leatherwork, saddlemaking, fishing, and hunting. Survivors include: Wife: Bonnie Killian of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Michelle Killian of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jason Douglas (Shannon) Killian of Twin Falls, ID Daughter: Mary Kay (Isaac) Ashton of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: H. Delbert Killian of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: A. Gene Killian of Ammon, ID Sister: Jane Harris of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Sharon Bahr of Boise, ID Sister: Ann Griffeth of Rigby, ID 2 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sue Hoag. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Steve Hunter officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a..m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
