Ronald W. Keeling Sr. passed on the 20th of July, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was an amazing husband to Renee Smith-Keeling, an awesome father to four wonderful sons; Chris and Ron Jr. of Hawaii, Roger of Alaska and Lancer of South Carolina, and one beautiful daughter, Tara of Idaho Falls. He will miss his sister, Nancy Goodman, of Dover, Tennessee.
He lived his life with a constant yearning for adventure and shared his love of life with his friends and family, seeking that each person who came into his life would be touched with an overwhelming desire to reach for and find their fullest potential in life.
Ron retired from NRF and served as a Marine during the Vietnam War. One of his passions was golf, which led him to become a golf instructor later in life. Ron sought after the elusive, "one that got away," seeking the solitude and beauty of every lake, river, and stream that called his name.
Ron would like to express his gratitude and appreciation to all his family and friends who stood by him during his struggle, especially those at Teton Cancer Institute and his bevy of beauties at Mountain View Hospital and Hands of Hope Hospice.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 413 N. Main Street in Firth. In lieu of flowers, Ron would prefer donations be made to Idaho2Fly or Reel Recovery.
