RONALD GOODWIN IDAHO FALLS, ID - Ronald G. Goodwin, 85, former Shelley resident, currently of Rigby, died March 10, 2005, at the Rexburg Nursing Center. He was born March 9, 1920, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to George Anson Goodwin and Rilla Lavina Helm Goodwin. He grew up in the area attending area schools, and lived most of his life in the Taylor and Shelley area.. He married Inez Arave January 27, 1940. Their marriage was solemized in the Idaho Falls Temple January 27, 1954. He worked at Challenge Creameries and farmed with his father in law. He worked with Hallway Manufacturing and owned his own welding business. She preceded him in death December 25, 1986. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating and spending time with his family. Surviving are: Son: Gary (Barbara) Goodwin, St. Anthony, ID Daughter: Linda (Merrill) Grover, Rigby, ID Son: Steve Goodwin, Shelley, ID Brother: Reed (Doreen) Goodwin, Coursegold, CA Sister: Viviann Hanson, Vancouver, WA Sister: DeRae Traughber, Pocatello, ID Sister-in-law: Joyce Goodwin, Idaho Falls, ID Sister-in-law: Jean Scott, Blackfoot, ID Sister-in-law: Norma (Robert) Ednie, Casselberry, FL Brother- in- law: Clive (Carley) Arave, Logan, UT 6 Grandchildren and 2 Step-Grandchildren, 13 and 4 Step-Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four sisters, Lavina, Kate, Marcella and Fern and three brothers, Max, Vic and Bill and one great granddaughter, Danielle. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home East Side. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
