With deep sadness, Ron passed away July 17, 2026. He was born February 17, 1953, to Lavon George and Peggy Willey in Pocatello, Idaho.
He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1971. He was in a car accident in 1971 that left him with a few disabilities. Despite those disabilities, he went on to complete ISU’s VoTech Auto Body and Fender program and opened up R&L Auto Body Shop with his dad in Aberdeen. Upon the closing of the shop, he went on disability.
Ron met the love of his life, Cheryl Thompson, on the internet in a chat room. She was from Minnesota. After several months chatting on the internet, Ron moved to Minnesota and he and Cheryl were married July 14, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married up until her passing on September 28, 2022. Cheryl was a huge Avon Consultant so Ron helped her a lot with the business, including setting up booths at fairs.
Upon Cheryl’s passing, due to his disabilities, he was unable to live alone and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to live with his sister until his death.
Ron is survived by his mother and step father, Peggy and Milton Willey of Aberdeen, ID; brother, Don George (Linda) of Hebron, NH; sister, Barbara Russell (Chris) of Idaho Falls, ID; half brother, Terry George of Aberdeen, ID; and half sister, Jolene Anderson (Ted) of Springfield, ID.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl; father, Lavon George; grandparents, John Hantz, Vera Jones, Hannah and Joe George.
We all love and miss you...may you rest in peace until we meet again.
