Ronald Kay Emerick, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away on August 20, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Ron was a great man. He left beautiful memories with his wife, Daniela, his sons Patrick and Dana, his daughters Rebecca and Katie, all of his grandchildren, and everyone who took time to get to know him.
As a truck driver, Ron took extreme pride in his professionalism and safe driving skills. He loved navigating the Idaho mountain passes, Peterbilt trucks were the only "real" trucks, and veggies were rabbit food. He retired from a long and hard-working career in 2012.
In his later years he lived a quiet and comfortable life with his wife Daniela and their dog River, in the beautiful home that they had worked on together for the past 17 years. Ron had many passions in life, including family, music, enjoying the patio and garden, computers, muscle cars, semi-trucks, and pretty much anything else with moving parts.
His wife recalls love at first sight and finding her soul mate; their friendship and love will transcend the boundaries of this world, and last as a shining example of respect and commitment in the memories of their children. His kids loved and respected the man who was always there when they needed him. His grandchildren carefully wrapped him around their little fingers and loved being around him. They always saw through his ‘grumpy grandpa’ routine and kept him on his toes.
Ron’s presence will be greatly missed. His spirit is with us forever!
