Roger Williams

Roger M. Williams, 55, passed away September 18, 2010, in the arms of his loved ones at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alton E. Williams and Joyce Elizabeth Obrey Williams. Roger grew up in the Idaho Falls and Iona area and attended Bonneville High School. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) for 27 years. Prior to working at the INL, he worked at Ermal’s and had an automotive repair shop at his home. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Roger enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Many would be surprised that he enjoyed canning, gardening, and cooking large meals for family and his babies, Brownie, Duchess and Barkley. Roger was always willing to give his time, skill and talents to anyone in need of his help. He was also a practical joker who loved getting a rise out of people. He is survived by his mother, His wife, Kathy Medellin; Daughter, Tiffany Ann (Nicholas Evans) Williams of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Joshua Roger Williams of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Nicole (Ian) Mac Donald, Copenhagen, NY; Daughter, Katie (James) Trent of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Dustin (Natausha) Medellin of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Joshua Medellin of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Krista (Colby) Weeks of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Rodney Williams of Orem, UT; Sister, Susie Wood of Rexburg, ID; Sister, Julie Lomdozzi of Yakima, WA; 11 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and his niece, Rose. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 24 , 2010, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Brian McBride officiating. The family will visit with friends 6-:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
