AMMON, ID -- Roger Sterling Clements, 54, of Idaho Falls, died March 19, 2009, at his home of colon cancer. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Roger was born October 7, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Sterling Roth Clements and Gwendolyn Agnus Jones Clements. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Ammon Junior High School, and Bonneville High School. He was a lifelong resident of Idaho Falls.
He married Linda Weise and they were later divorced. He married Toni Lee Atkinson June 9, 1990, at the Mountain River Ranch at Heise, Idaho. He worked in the sugar factory and as a truck driver before starting his own excavating business, Alpine Excavating, which he was still operating at the time of his death.
He enjoyed collecting guns, reloading shells, hunting, camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, and snowmachining.

Sister: Gloria (Randall) Wilson, Iona, ID
Sister: Priscilla (Robert) Thatcher, Price, UT
Sister: Marilyn (Jay) Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Kathryn (Merlin) Webster, Rexburg, ID
4 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Jon A. Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

I am very sorry for your loss. Roger was a good friend. We did a fair amount of work together over the last 20 years. We even snowmobiled together a few times. He was great fun. I know you will miss him! But, I will too!!
