Rodney Von Westover

Rodney Von Westover, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 11, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.

Rodney was born April 15, 1938, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Thomas Harold Westover and Tessa Arvilla Hansen.  He grew up and attended schools in Riverside, Moreland, Basalt, and Blackfoot, and graduated from Blackfoot High School. He worked as a farmhand and as a laborer at the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company in Blackfoot. Rodney eventually made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked as a custodian for the INL.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading, crocheting, wood carving, and painting. He loved watching all kinds of movies.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Ronda Arlene Croft; stepdaughter, Gloria Jensen; sister, Regina (Chris) Martin; brother, Gary (Mary Lou) Westover; sister, Loa Metcalf; ex-wife, Janice Lister; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Harold Westover; mother, Tessa Hansen; wives, Nancy Winborg and Lorraine Margie Groce; son, Spencer Westover; and brothers, Delmar and Delawn Westover.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.  The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
