Rodney Allen Storer, 64, of Island Park, passed away May 2, 2023, at Intermountain Health Care in Murray, Utah.
Rod was born July 24, 1958, in Salina, Kansas, to Willard Storer and Joanna Torp Storer. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls including Riverside Elementary, before moving to Charleston, South Carolina, where he attended middle school and graduated from St. Andrews High School.
After school, he joined the United States Navy, from which he retired. Rod moved to Island Park, Idaho, and worked as a mechanic for Elk Creek service station, then at Arctic Cat. He started driving long haul trucks for Swift. And bought his own semi and tried running his own business as a truck driver. He met the Hugoes and worked for them long haul driving for the last 20 years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and cars, especially hot rods. He loved animals and science fiction movies. He was a huge, huge bookworm. You could always find a book in Rod’s hands.
