RODNEY CLAY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Rodney Howard Clay, 53, of Idaho Falls, died January 11, 2007 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 2, 1953, at Idaho Falls, Idaho, to William Rue Clay and Bonnie Jean Hammer Clay. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He served two years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
During that time, he met and married Carol Schillinger. They were later divorced. He married Debbie Johnson. They were later divorced.
Rod had a love for animals. He even taught one of his dogs to talk. Rod also loved all his nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his two nephews, Jordan and David Clay, who helped him when he became wheelchair bound.

Brother: Brad (Debbie) Clay, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Gary (Connie) Clay, Post Falls, ID
Sister: Sherri (Paul) Long, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Janet (Jeff) Farnes, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister-in-law: Lisa Clay, Idaho Falls, ID
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, a brother, Bruce Clay, and a nephew Jonathan Clay.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
