Rodney Wayne Bird, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 25, 2015, at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March 22, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lewis Richard Bird, Jr. and Grace Leavitt Bird. He grew up and attended schools in the area.
On June 6, 1962, he married Karen Ann McDougal and they were later divorced. He married Vicki Lyn Weise on July 29, 1976, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. On July 25, 1985, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked at D&L Cleaners and retired after 32 years there. He also did security work for the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Building for 20 years.
Rodney was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed doing Family History and was always willing to help others.

Sister-in-law: Carma Bird, Rigby, ID
7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Bird; one sister, Wilma Curtis; one sister-in-law, Flora May Bird; and four brothers-in-law, Victor Geary, LaGrand Leavitt, Dean Storer, and Ramon Curtis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward (1450 Mountain View Lane) with Bishop Randy Wheeler officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
