Robin Merritt

Robin Renee Merritt, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 26, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. Robin was born February 9, 1956, in Encino, California, to James Elden Merritt and Vonda Wilding Merritt. She grew up and attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. She also attended Ashford University and EITC and earned her Master’s Degree in organizational management. Robin served as an Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robin and her long-time friend Janis Kay Hull made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Robin worked as a head custodian for Woodland Hills Elementary. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing and making jewelry. Robin is survived by her loving friend Janis K. Hull of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Misty (Christopher) Smith of Pocatello, ID; brother, Lane (Michelle) Merritt of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Mark Merritt of Shelley, ID; brother, Dana (Ray Elliott) Merritt of Portland, OR; brother-in-law, Steven (Tami) Rhodes of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Nikki Merritt (Max) Herrell of Powder Springs, GA; sister, Lisa Merritt of Moncks Corner, SC; granddaughter, Madisen (Nicholas) Meyer of San Diego, CA; granddaughter, Marisa (Bryan Torres) Dunn of American Falls, ID; grandson, Matthew Dunn of Pocatello, ID; grandson, Christopher Gene Smith; grandson, Robert Smith; grandson, Preston Smith; granddaughter, Heather Smith; grandson, Jerry Smith; grandson, Nathan Smith; grandson, Alex Smith; great grandson, Alejandro “A.J.” Torres. She was preceded in death by Tami Merrit Rhodes, James Merritt, Vonda Wilding, Harold & Verla Wilding, Paul & LauFawn Merritt, Adri Ann Merritt, and Joey Herrell. Private family graveside services will be held.
