He was born October 4, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Dale Brown and Joy Ann West Brown. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, he attended the St. Leon School for the Handicapped, Central Junior High School, and earned a certificate through Eastern Idaho Technical College. As the result of a smallpox vaccination he received as a child, Robin developed cow fever, along with a high fever. Because of this illness he sustained major brain damage. Robin worked for Coca-Cola for 20 years and Development Workshop. In his early years he enjoyed participating in the Boy Scouts of America. Robin was an avid and dedicated fisherman and was famous for his tall fish tales. His other passion was sports. He especially loved football and was a dedicated Greenbay fan. He collected Greenbay memorabilia and proudly displayed it. Robin was also a participant in the Special Olympics, in which he won numerous medals. The greatest joy in Robin’s life was his family. He loved spending time with them and reminiscing about the good times had. Despite his handicaps Robin lived a full and happy life.
