Robert Conrad "Bob" Weisenburger, 90, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away May 9, 2017, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. Bob was born June 24, 1926, in the Community Hospital at Medford, Oregon, to Lester Moore Weisenburger and Elsie Kitto Weisenburger. Bob spent his youth attending school in Medford, where he graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1944. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served his country until 1946. He attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Bob began his career in Hood River, Oregon, learning the collection business. Soon after he moved to Boise, Idaho. He worked in radio most of his career and was General Manager of KGEM and KJOT for many years. He was a past President of the Idaho Broadcasters Association. When he retired he moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. On May 15, 1965, he married Mary Curran in Elko, Nevada. Mary passed away November 20, 1990. Bob's lifelong interests included hunting, fishing, and, in later years, playing pool. Bob is survived by daughter, Christine (Don) Wanek of Wilber, NB, daughter, Julie McVey of Medford, OR, son, Dr. K. Bruce Lancaster of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Rebecca (Terry) Turnmire of Idaho Falls, ID, grandson, Kevin Robert Wanek of Idaho Falls, ID, grandson, Michael McVey of Medford, OR, granddaughter, Lisa Wanek Scarcelli of Vancouver, WA, grandson, Donald Wanek of San Francisco, CA, grandson, Brett Lancaster of Idaho Falls, ID, close friend, Deanna Dixon, 14 great grandchildren and 1 nephew and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Elsie Weisenburger, his wife, Mary, a sister, Shirley Hayner, a son, Jack E. Weisenburger, two grandsons, David McVey and Jon Lancaster, and a granddaughter, Leslie Wanek Sgaglione. The family would like to thank the staff of The Gables of Ammon for their kind care of our father. No Services are planned. He will be buried by his wife, Mary, and his parents at the Star Cemetery in Star, Idaho.
