Robert S. Wardle - 05/18/2002 Robert S. Wardle - 05/18/2002 ROBERT S. WARDLE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Robert S. Wardle, 76, of Idaho Falls, died May 17, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1926 in Sugar City, Idaho to Leslie Lavern Wardle and Gladys Wright Wardle. He attended schools in Sugar City, graduating from Sugar City High School. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Glenna Allred in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 28, 1965. He was the Chef for the Idaho Falls Elks Lodge for over 25 years. He also worked as a meter reader for the City of Idaho Falls until his retirement. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2000. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a life-long member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their trailer in Island Park and in Blackfoot and he loved to dance. Surviving are:Daughter: Diane Wright (Don) Griffeth, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Greg (Sherry) Wardle, AZSon: Rob (Jackie) Wardle, AZSister: Vvs (Bob) Josephson, Rigby, IDSister: Phillis Higley, Blackfoot, ID7 Grandchildren, 1Great Grandchild.He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a sister. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Wood Chapel of the Pines. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday. Military rites will be performed at the cemetery by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
