ROBERT W. WALLACE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Robert Wayne Wallace, 77, of Idaho Falls, died May 30, 2003, at his home from an extended illness.
He was born June 7, 1925 in Anaconda, Montana to Robert Martin Wallace and
Lucille Park Wallace. He lived in Anaconda where he attended elementary
school in Opportunity, Anaconda Jr. High and Anaconda Sr. High School. He lived in American Falls, Idaho for 33 years, Pocatello for 4 years and Idaho Falls the past 6 years.
He served in the South Pacific on the USS O’Brien during World War II.
He also achieved Chief Warrant Officer 4th Grade status before retiring
from the Army Reserve.
He married Vera Summers April 6, 1946, in Anaconda, Montana. Their marriage
was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple January 20, 1948.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator, as an accountant, as a Civil Defense
Director, and in agricultural equipment sales. He also served on the Power County Hospital Board and in the Army Reserves in Pocatello.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as
a High Councilor, Stake Executive Secretary, Bishop, Bishop's Counselor,
Ward Executive Secretary, Young Men's President, Scout Master, Seminary
teacher, and as a temple ordinance worker.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, family activities, reading, camping, hunting
and genealogy.

Daughter: Sharen (Rob) Myers, Napa, CA
Brother: Gary Park Wallace, Fullerton, CA
Sister: Marcia Lucille Hutchison, Mesa, AZ
34 Grandchildren, and 24Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, William Elwin and
Richard Calvin.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, 9th Street and South Boulevard, with Bishop Bowen Huntsman
officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday at Wood Funenal Home, 273 North Ridge, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
