Robert Allan Scott - 04/07/2003 Robert Allan Scott - 04/07/2003 ROBERT ALLAN SCOTT IDAHO FALLS, ID - Robert Allan Scott, 87, of Idaho Falls, died April 6, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center. He was born April 18, 1915 at Menan to Josiah Alphonso Scott and Emma Priest Scott. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Midway High School. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army as a Sargent. On September 18, 1944, he married Gladys Backlund in Dillon, Montana. He worked as a Security Guard for the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), where he did clearances. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and golf. Surviving are:Wife: Gladys Scott, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Alana (Stan) Janes, Boise, IDSon: Larry (Hippy) Scott, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Thelda (Verl) Wilcox, Blackfoot, IDSister: LuDean Lee, Idaho Falls, ID 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
