Robert "Bob" Marquis Adair, 86, of Iona, passed away July 2, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Bob was born December 3, 1935, in Union City, Pennsylvania, raised by his father, Gerald David Adair, and his stepmother, Martha Evelyn Tuck. He grew up in California, he was a good student in high school and was a member of the football team. He loved to take his little sister, Jerrie, to his practices and games. After graduating, he enlisted in the Navy like his dad.
Bob was a dedicated convert of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a special love for his ward family. He adored children, but especially his own children and grandchildren. He could always be found at every dance competition and karate tournament cheering them on. His own interests included photography and skiing. After living in Anchorage for a number of years, he always held Alaska close to his heart and thrived in the cold weather. He was a man of many talents and held a number of unique occupations which resulted in many relocations to various states prior to settling down in Idaho.
Bob is survived by his sister, Jerrie Weiss; second marriage–son, Matthew David Adler; daughters, Heather Catanese and Aimee Catlin; step-daughter, Cathy Homberg; grandchildren, Tyler, Sam, Austin, Sterling, Mackenzie, Hunter, and Kamden; first marriage–sons, Gary Eugene Croft and Robert D (Marquis) Croft; daughter, Audrey Denae Christensen; grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Ariel, Amanda, Shelby, Sarah, and Jessica; great grandchildren, Laren, Jackson, Keegan, Jude, Madeline, Theodore, and Gabriel. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald David Adair; and step-mother, Martha Evelyn Tuck. Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Iona 1st Ward, 5169 Denning Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
