ROBERT KOSTER BOISE, ID -- Robert Koster, 87, of Boise, formerly of Idaho Falls, died September 15, 2009 at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1922, in Ucon, Idaho, to Peter Koster and Andrana Katrina DeWitt Koster. He attended schools in Ucon. He served in the Navy during World War II. On June 23, 1946, he married Victoria Lurus in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where he worked as a secretary at Washington Savings. They moved to Boise in 1999 to be closer to family. Victoria preceded him in death on February 4, 2006. He was a member of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed gardening; being outdoors; and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Melissa. He is survived by: Son, Greg (Cindy) Koster of Boise; Brother, Wilford Koster of Ucon; He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Pete, Jake, Richard “Dick”, John, Leonard; and one sister, Ann. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, with Reverend Brenda Sene of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Veterans Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online: Marty Bauchman I am sorry to hear about your father's death. I've know Bob and Vic for over 50 years, although I don't remember meeting you. I have kept contact with a dear friend of theirs - Betty June Millard. She lives in Virginia and unfortunately is suffering from Alzheimer's, but does remember them. Betty and her first husband Ken Jones worked together at the Idaho First National Bank when they were first married. Betty and I send our condolences to you and your family.
