Robert Kangas

Robert William “Robbie” Kangas, 38, of Iona, passed away October 6, 2012, at his home. Robbie was born November 24, 1973, in Hancock, Michigan, part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Gladys P. Eakin Kangas and Charles E. Kangas. He lived the majority of his life in Michigan. Rob moved to Idaho Falls area in December of 2002, where he has resided until his passing. Rob had a great many interests, including bikes, cars, video games, music, and really enjoyed movies. Rob will be sadly missed, as he brought many smiles to the world. He is preceded in his death by his mother, Gladys. Rob is survived by his Brother, Darren (Mikole) Andrews of Ammon, ID; Brother, Dale (Loretta) Andrews of Green River, WY; and Sister, Debbie (Mike) Garbett of Evanston, WY; along with various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will say final farewells to Rob before his final journey at Memorial Services which will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home. Robert’s final resting place on this earth will be "Home," in Toivola, Michigan. Memorial donations can be made to the Robert Kangas Memorial Fund at any branch of Westmark Credit Union.
