Robert "Bob" Irvine

Robert Lewis Irvine, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 24, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bob was born June 15, 1949, in Shelley, Idaho, to Bertie Mae Warren Arroyo and John Raymond Irvine. He grew up in Firth, Idaho, and later moved to the Sacramento area where he finished his schooling. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Europe. He worked at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco and spent the remainder of his career working for the U.S. Postal Service in California. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards and Bingo, and spending time with friends and family. Bob is survived by his sister, Sharen Ann Baird, of Ammon, ID. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Mae Warren Arroyo. A Gathering for friends and family will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls. Burial will be at a later date in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. Military Rites will be performed by the Ada County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
