ROBERT T. HUMPHERYS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Robert Thomas Humpherys, 85, of Idaho
Falls, died August 18, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following
a lingering illness.
He was born November 16, 1917, at Shelley, Idaho, to George
William Humpherys and Nellie Mae Thomas Humpherys. He grew up and attended
schools in Shelley.
On January 5, 1939, he married Wilma Isabel Taylor in the
Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Blackfoot for 10 years, Arco for 4 years,
and moved to Idaho Falls 50 years ago. He farmed and also worked as a clerk
for Union Pacific Railroad, which he retired from after 32 years service.
An active a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he held the office of High Priest and served in various callings
throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, and
especially loved to spend time with his family.

Daughter: Linda Rae [Dall Ray] Lake, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Gail Oswald, Boise, ID
Son: Robert Eugene [Linda] Humpherys, Ammon, ID
Special Daughter: Tamera Kay Humpherys, Ammon, ID
19 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his parents and twenty brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., August 21, 2003,
at the Ammon LDS 6th Ward, 2945 Selway, with Cam Payne, 1st Counselor in
the Ammon 6th Ward Bishopric, officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7
to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour
prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of
Wood Funeral Home East Side.
