Robert Gene Green or “Good ol’ Mr. Green”, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 27, 2015, at his home.
He was born January 31, 1927, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Eugene Green and Beulah Walters Green. The family moved to Idaho Falls where he attended schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and earned the rank of Corporal. He later attended Idaho State University.
On August 10, 1947, he married his childhood sweetheart, Myrna Jane Kidd, who he’d known since 3rd Grade. He was the owner of Greens Clothing Store, located in downtown Idaho Falls. Bob was active in the Chamber of Commerce and March of Dimes. He also was a member of the Civitans Club and Elks Lodge.
Bob was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and traveling and was accomplished in football, basketball, baseball, and tennis during his high school years. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. He had an uncanny ability to draw children to him and they adored him.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Scott Taylor and the angels working at Hospice of Eastern Idaho and ABC Home Health.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Boyd Zollinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
