Click Here To View Memorial Video Robert Eugene Fann, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 27, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bob was born March 9, 1935, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Eugene Raymond Fann and Bernice Wynn Fann. He attended elementary school in Buhl and graduated from Valley High School in Eden. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as a Machinist Mate Third Class. He married Rosie Vescera in 1956, and they were later divorced. Bob later married LaVeda Arlean Fox in June, 1962, in Butte, Montana. Bob and LaVeda made their home in Idaho Falls, where Bob was a heavy equipment operator for several construction companies. LaVeda passed away on January 25, 2012. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, knapping arrowheads, raising mules and chasing mountain lions with red bone hound dogs. Bob is survived by his son, Kim Fann of Sutton, AK, stepson, Roy (Diane) DeFilippis of Idaho Falls, ID, stepson, Tony (Glenda) DeFilippis of Ammon, ID, stepdaughter, Dootzie Peterson of Rigby, ID, brother, Wayne (Jeannine) Hawkins of Denver, CO, sister, Betty Hawkins of Boise, ID, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a stepson, Nick Elvin DeFilippis, and a brother, Gale Hawkins. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to services Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
